Inexpensive, tasty, friendly, recommendable

Great restaurant, very nicely decorated with artificially designed walls. There are delicious German dishes here. I've been eating here for over 10 years when I'm around and I've never been disappointed. The toilets are always stocked with soap, disinfectant and paper towels. A good, old Starmix hand dryer is also available for warm and dry hands. The tables are always properly cleaned. Even in the ceramics department, I haven't had any negative experiences with hygiene. So I am completely satisfied.

Very friendly staff. The food is good too. And of course the location is awesome. When I was a child .. this was my dream shop. A Vedes specialty toy store. At the entrance was a bear who was blowing bubbles .. oh yeah ... the good old days 😄

Food was not good, salad had a musty smell and schnitzel with a soft, spongy breading. French fries were probably not fresh either and everything was dripping with fat. No thanks!

Nice location in the center of Bensheim. Food top and pretty quick. Staff super friendly. The only thing that was not so good was the pancake: it was cold and absolutely didn't taste cold. Otherwise everything was great. Like to go there again and again.

Just had to try after walking past it. It was a very good experience. Food is rustic, fresh and very good and priceworthy. The place attract the locals. Worth a visit for a real German Schnitzeln and a beer!

The first visit to this restaurant was a spontaneous decision and it turned out to be the right one. The service is very friendly and fast, even special requests were taken into account directly. Food and drinks were quickly at the table. The wine from the Bergstrasse, the food hot and tasted good. The price-performance ratio is also right and fits well with the ambience (cozy) and the offer (balanced). It is definitely worth a visit here, especially for lunch, I can make an unreserved recommendation.

Stammkneipe mit Stammreeps: Schnitzel Wienerart und dazu Stemmler. When we are in Bensheim (several times a year and for more than 10 consecutive years), we have drinks and dinner at least once at the Nibelungen-Quelle. Preferably on the terrace and, if the weather does not allow it, indoors. We always opt for a Schnitzel Wienerart the first time per stay in Bensheim. Deliciously prepared with blood hot, non-greasy fries and fresh salad. We like to rinse it all off with very dry Stemmler, excellent local white wine. It is a pity that the approach that used to be so personal no longer exists. The staff changes quite frequently nowadays, while in the past we knew people from the service so well that we exchanged holiday experiences. The operation has also become less alert and less personal. The quality of the food is consistently good and the prices are still very modest.

Typical German food! Steak is almost well done even I ordered it in medium. Taste is good but a bit salty. A year after I came back last week with friends, chefs improved the control on grilling the steak, and not salty this time. The herbs butter give additional favours to the steak. Very good dinning!

Very good "Wiener art". Have a smile when you order and have only cash when you pay. Nice service.
